I have a lone 5" midevil in a 75 gallon. The tank looks so empty and I was wondering if anything could be kept with him/her?

More than likely you couldn't put anything in there with it unless you plan to upgrade. Midevils usually don't play we'll with others. You could try maybe a Dempsey or a single convict but they would most likely end up dead

They aren't cichlids but try bichirs as cichlids don't mind their company

I wouldn't count on a permanent tankmate in that size tank...but while growing out some bottom dwellers of some sort probably be ok...like raphaels, small polypterus, and such

i have to agrree on the others. Maybe some dithers but the chances are great that the midevil will kill them. I have one and the bigger he gets the more aggressive he gets. I know its hard but give it time. Your midevil will fill out the tank. Your best bet is just keep him/ her by themself. :)

basicly it depends on your fish's attitude but probably you wont be able to put anything in with your midevil. I also have a 6-7" midevil in a 75 gallon and she will attack anything that i put into the tank with her except a little tiger botia that is in with her lol. so you could try a small aggressive bottom feeder fish. i tried to put a jack dempsey that I rescued from a 10 gallon tank in with my midevil but she just tore the crap out of him. so i have the tank divided now and i am trying to rehome the jack dempsey.
good luck
here is a video of my midevil
