My Midas is 11" and has been in his home (72g bowfront) for the past 2yrs. I know the chances of this happening are very slim, but is there anyone who may have some suggestion to how this may work. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I dont know the temperment of your midas, but if i had to guess your chances are none.If you are going to try you should have a divider handy .totaly move everything around so the midas has no territory . make sure you have a home for the gt when and if it fails.I hope it does work but odds are stacked against it...good luck!

From my experience with midas is the only way you can have tankmates is if it lives with a tankmate it's whole life from about 3 or 4". I have trouble adding any fish to my 125 and my 240 with my barred in the 125 and the white midas in the 240. My white midas kills everything that is under 9" or that isn't strong enough to fight.

not enough room for two large cichlids to have a territory and if its been in there for a while it will chalenge the out lander

it would be really hard as far as size goes to a small one would be eaten a meadium GT would get killed a large one would fight

but wierder things have happend if the RD is really aggressive then i'd say don't waist your money but you should try it first with a cheap fish if it won't let say a silver dollar or an gourami live a cichlid would have much less of a chance
