Came to the forums looking for some honest advice. Right now im considering opening an aquarium cleaning, setup, and other general related aquatic jobs such as weekly cleanings and what not (including pond repair jobs) kind of "business" im not looking to profit much im just having fun. Today i found a great name for the place, purchased a .com and opened a facebook business page. Ive got it designed with pictures of reefs and all kinds of rare fish, anyways things are looking good but now im considering branching out some how. Im thinking about purchasing a web hosting reseller account tomorrow from a reliable host with a great price. I have experience in hosting and design and would like to offer theses services strictly to aquatic/pet related projects.
Im wanting to bring an aquatic community to facebook but i know forums are the way now, i just hate the idea of opening a forum again and keeping up with the competition, so maybe i should just stick to fb business page and operate through that. It has a .com and a very professional design so im thinking it may be okay. I just wonder why there are no aquarium related facebook pages, i think it be nice to be able to post a quick post through facebook if i had an aquarium related question on a page about aquariums.. What do you guys think? Im even considering offering free webhosting just to lure people to the page but sometimes that works out with not but spammers.. If i did charge id like to offer 1/3 of the normal cost from the biggest competitors.
Also; what if i wanted to get into some aquatic wholesale deals where like i could see aquarium products and supplies through my page. I would love to some how get into selling live fish, online. Its my biggest dream but how would i go about something like that without have to get hired at aquascape or something lol?
IDK I just need some opinions, i know its a risk but do you think think its worth trying? Im working on a few hybrid spawns soon and it would be nice to sell them them and maybe one day work my way up to my dream of having an actual stocklist. I just feel like it might be my way in the door atleast. I want to offer free webhosting and i may even go with the .org domain. I just want to bring animals loves mainly our kind lol. But if you were in my position what would you do?
