Possible to X-breed?

Please pardon my possibly stupid question, but is it possible for a Senegal, to breed with an ornate? I have a female ornate and a male sen in a 100gal tank.

i dunno about an ornate x senegal cross but I think some of the lower jaws have hybridized before (endli x lap IIRC) so it might be possible. But I doubt you'll have to worry about that, I think its usually done in unnatural conditions ie hormone injections and such.

Genetically, yes. Naturally? Probably not, but I don't know. I've got a male sen who likes to court my female polli after a water change, but she never seems interested.

Thanks Guys!, they do seem more amourous after a big waterchange. It would be cool if it happened, but I won't hold my breath...
