definately, make the bottom wider and use lots of wood and bracing.

I would give both tanks a solid bottom. Check out the stickys in the DIY thread about stands and then elaborate upon them to make a double teir version. I would just make the bottom wider so it isnt as top heavy. Overbuilding wont be a problem lol

thanks was just looking for some input not much of a woodworker,probally wont happen till july when i get back from FL

make sure you use a deck screw and not a drywall screw. drywall screws are brittle and can crack.
I am a big fan of the urethane glues

yeah i looked at the sticky is it ok to leave the front center support out?i was planning on solid bottoms
and yeah i know not to use drywall scews

it has to be really stong. use hardwood or metal.
