I went to the LFS today to pick up some fish food. While I was there, I looked around for some bigger cichlids, and all they had were some Jack Dempseys. I was talking to the owner and we started talking and I told him that I was looking at getting an EBJD or a Jack Dempsey with the electric blue gene. He told me that he couldn't guarantee it, but he said that one of the 3 bigger Jack's has a possibility of having the electric blue gene. The person who brought it in breeds EBJDs and gets rid of the ones that aren't electric blue.
So I talked with the owner and bought the 3 Jack Dempseys for $15. Not too bad, especially if the one has the electic blue gene!
