Possibly getting a scomb soon quick question

Hey guys so I am getting a scomb soon. He is 2.5-3inch right now. He will be going into a 40breeder for the time being as a grow out. At that size does he need a powerhead? I know they like current, when would you suggest putting a powerhead in for him, like at what size should he be?

I would put in a powerhead from the get go.

Juveniles don't need it but the adults have been found in water with moderate current from what I've read.
