Hello!

What disease did you experience?

it was some sort of a body fungus that originaly started on the pectoral fins, they would look cloudy, then would spread to the fringe of his tail and then to the head and around the mouth. i used pimafix and melafix with aquarium salt with no luck. Next step i used furhan which appeared to help but it would come back with in a week of treatment so i tried that again and same results, at Big als i was told to try erythromycin with no luck at all this has all taken place over the course of about 6 weeks which unfortunately resulted in me having to put my poor pet out his misery as he had drastically taken a turn for the worse, not swimming not eating just layin on the bottom of the tank.

Disinfectant protocol:
-Thoroughly rinse all equipment used (tank, nets, air stones, air tubing, filter media, filter, etc) with tap water. Remove as much debris as possible.
-Mix 1/2 cup bleach* in 1 gallon of water. Soak a rag in the solution and wipe down all surfaces of the tank 2 times. Let the tank sit for 30 minutes, then rinse very thoroughly with tap water.
-Wipe down all other surfaces of the items listed above with the bleach solution if possible. For those that cannot be wiped down, soak them in the bleach solution for 10 minutes, then rinse very thoroughly with tap water.
-You can let everything air dry, or dry everything with a clean towel that was not washed with laundry detergent (you can run a towel through the washer and dryer without any soap or fabric softener and then use it).
-Once completely dry, wait 24 hours before using any of the items again.

*Bleach at this concentration will kill almost any bacteria, fungus, or virus.
