question, i have asked this before and got killed with negative replies for it, i wouldn't mind trying to breed a pure red, one of the big three hemichromis, for nothing but looking purpose's how long do you think that would take, by how long i mean just about how many generations.

im not sure to clearly understand your question, but im one of the bigest hybrid hater :D

god have created so many nice cichlids, dont lose your time dude :cool-1:

im not saying cross breed, im saying line breeding until you get more and more color, out of the same line of hemichromis, now this would be done just to improve there looks, but no croosing of hemichromis types would be used., i have in the past thought of trying some **** like that, but not anymore.

ah ok i see.i realy dont know maybe you will have to contact a asian discus breeders for that kind of question.a lot claim to have some real lifalili but they are at 90% of time a inline breeding of verry red gutattus from asia:irked:

yep, i would really like to see a real lifalili, or atleast be told what is a real one, i person i resoect randall khon, i think thats how you spell his name once told me he isn't really sure if any real lifalili have ever been imported or not, another thing i wonder is, with the ease hemichromis breed why haven't i seen any albino's, has anyone else ever seen one, if so let me know.
