look forward to the pics. I don't know how long they lived but we had some California forest scorps in the pet store I worked in for a few months before they sold out so I am sure that there are other people successfully keeping them.
Sucks about your Hadrurus, they are really neat scorpions, very active for the most part.

asian forest or california forest? cali forest are unmistakeable they have spikes on their claws so if they want something its theirs, also they tiny, mines full size at barely 2 inches. i think im gonna try another hadrurus, just this time, heat pad and day light, with a ceramic emitter for night.

yeah, Uroctonus mordax if I remember coerctly. they were 3rd instar when we got them and most molted after a few weeks and were between 1/2 and 3/4 inches. really neat little guys.

Also, it is best to give Hadrurus a temp cycle of about 20º from what I have read so it may be okay to just keep the heat cable on at night with the ceramic heater during the day as well. Mine is staying in my herp room so when the lights for everyone else comes on it raises the temp to about 85º in the room and at night it drops to around 75º so there is a bit of a temp change. I am basing all of this on what I have been reading though considering I just got the scorpions...

ya we have a very quick temp drop in my house at night, it normal drops about 25 F. in about 20 minutes in the winter. so we think it was just the shock that killed him, cause the first cold night he was dead. now the forest scorpion on the other hand wont come out unless its a little cold...

im just trying to see if i can email a pic to my email address from my phone...considering its taken me 2 years to realise i actually have the net on my phone im not holding out hope lol
