He was actually watching me cause I was at the tank. Darters are super curious fish, they come right to me and watch my every move. I do have a female bluebreast the males don't seem to pay much attention to her.

Definitely similar looking, darters are a perch. Crazy to think they are more closely related to a datnoid than a goby!
