I'm curious where people shop and why.

I like Champion Lighting & Supply for lighting, pumps, chillers, et cetera. They have a great selection of heavy-duty equipment, a lot of which is hard to find anywhere else.

I shop Pet Solutions for food, filters, and most fish-keeping supplies in general. They have the best prices I've been able to find on most items. Plus they still send out paper catalogs - makes great bathroom reading!

So... Where do you shop and why?

Their food and hardgoods are some of the cheapest around. PLus they have lots of discounts and coupons.

Take a look at the HOBs, cleaning supplies, Chemicals, and hikari food. Cheap stuff + the discounts.

I've heard lots of good things about Kensfish, I'll have to check them out.

Definitely don't want to forget the LFS! Every time I go I come home at least $100 poorer...

Unfortunately for me the nearest LFS (other than Petsmart or Petco) is an hour and fifteen minutes away. I still shop there for all my fish and a lot of other supplies. The other problem with the local stores around here is selection - it's hard to find larger filters, and nobody carries things like chillers, Iwaki pumps, or Eheim canisters (other than the ECCO).

I have never actually ordered livestock online, the whole shipping thing makes me nervous...
