55 gallon freshwater south american single specimen show tank i have a fluval 405 9 watt uv twist sterilizer and a coral life ro ..... i had 2 aquaclear 110's but the current was a little much without need...... people say sump are the only way to go but i disagree ro water and uv is totally clean and easy i have a bunch of live plants along with co2 so i dont see where i would need a sump i like having room to play with where the sump is the sump u kno......

I saw this pic in the thread asking about your most overly filtered tanks.

Are the 2 canisters more water volume than what I am assuming is a 30 hex?

I have a whisper 20-40, an aqua tech (cheap walmart brand) 10, and a cascade 150 all on a 30 gallon with 2breeding pairs of cons. This works out to 15 times turn over per hour. Needless to say the water is crystal clear.

100g sump filtering a 300 and a 125. The water is always spotless, the filter is quiet, and it's easy as hell to maintain.

I like to run a combo of filters on each tank...

90gal - Fluval 404 / AC110
75gal - Fluval 304 / AC110
75gal - Penguin 330 / Penguin 350 / Fluval 203
75gal - Filstar XP3 / AC110
50gal - Fluval 303 / AC110
35gal - AC70 / sponge filter
29gal - AC20 / 201 powerhead with sponge filter

All those set-ups work well...

Burt :)
