Are the rock algea coated?
yes there is some red algae, tank has been running for about 2 years the red appeared about 6 months after set up had green algae first. I cant say i like the red that much i was thinking about changing the rocks to smooth boulders and rocks this year...

It looks very authentic lake Malwai like.

I have some red algea growing in my tank, mixed with green. It grew best with a 50/50 acentic florescet tube.

My mbuna and peacocks, keep it grazed down short.
