Post your stubborn eaters and/or runts .
This is a 2 1/2 year old Ruthven king.

Only eats pinkies and than only once a month. Her mass is good but she is only about 1 1/2 feet .

She is my runt but still good snake but will never breed her due to that.

Oh wait till I post a pic of a runt leopard gecko of mine. It's over 4 months old and it's about the size of a regular newborn one. It's sister came out fine though.

I dont know if he/she is your first snake but keep in mind they are great climbers and escape artists.
If you have him in a tank use the lock clips they sell for the tank screen .

That is in fact my 1st snake and I've read about how almost all snakes are beasts at escaping lol

ATM I have two 5 pound weights on the top of the screen with a light so unless this little guy is the worlds strongest snake I don't think he'll be able to get out for now at least lol

I bought the clips for the tank but I think I got the wrong sized ones or I'm just dumb and have no idea how to put them on... :irked: I'm leaning towards the wrong size theroy cause it's a pretty simple concept and they just seem like the clips would be for a bigger tank with a bigger rim.

Okay but get the clips as dsoon as possible as they make it escape proof .

The 5lb plates will work now but might not couple months from now.

I use the square clips and in order for a snake to escape with those on it would have to rip the screen apart lol.

Yeah I got the wrong clips :irked: I have the same type ones you have on your viv. I deff plan to get the clips well before he's able to push up on the screen... That's the last thing I need to happen lol

Thanks

Here's my runt juvenile leopard gecko. She's almost 5 months old and only 3 inches long! Her sister is twice this size. But she eats like a champ, I just can't get her to grow. Possible dwarf leopard geckos in the future? We'll see! :grinno:

She looks good now, but Anne really had me scared. She was still not eating 2 months after I purchased her and was down to 49 grams. It finally took me forcefeeding her to get her going. Now? She doesn't miss a meal and tonight gets her first small rat. *grin*
