Posting Pics

New to this site or any type of forum site for that matter. Ive kept fish for 20 yrs now and at least one type of pike or another bout 7 of those years. I cared for a Xingu I and different types of Saxes (Spangled and a couple of unknowns during this period.)
Currently have a Xingu I, Johanna @ 4", and my new marm came in Fri.
it is 6" sitting in quaratine for a couple of weeks, he is doing well. took
feeders first night and hasn't stopped.
Being new to any kind of online forum I'm gonna ask probably what most of
you will consider a stupid question.
How do I post pictures of current stock, would like to post pic of previous
pikes after scanning old polaroids in to PC.

hi,welcome to the site.the way to put photos on this forum will be pretty much the same for all forums.first,you need to find a site to host your photos.i use photobucket,but im sure there are plenty of others to use.you need to upload your photos on to the photobucket site(or what ever site you choose to use)when you have uploaded your choosen photos,underneath the photo will be url link,html tag and img code.if you copy the code on img code and paste this on to your post on your forum.any more help,dont hesitate to ask

1 - upload pics to your own gallery hear. it gives you a link which you copy and paste into the field after pressing the little mountain button.

2 - "go advanced", click the paper clip (another window will open) to attach/upload your pics straight to the post. 5mb limit for ea pic.

3 - use a photosite like photobucket. they give you your image link as if you already pressed the mountain button

No question is a stupid question...!! WELCOME TO THE SITE!!!! Glad you decided to take the plunge into the cyber world! Lemme tell yaz, there is A LOT that these forums have to offer. A LOT!! It connects you to other fish keepers, sellers of fish, and sooo much information its not even funny!! Especially happy you decided to come check out the Crenicichla forum, DEFINATELY glad to have you!! Would be MOST awesome to see some of your previous AND current pikes!! Looking forward to it am I!!

About the posting pictures. Its really quite simple actually, once you get the hang of it. If you don't mind your pictures having the MFK watermark on them, then you can just post them here on the site. Really easy. Just click the NEW REPLY option at either the top or the bottom of the topic you are posting on. After clickin on the NEW REPLY option scroll down until you see the MANAGE ATTACHMENTS option. Click this. It will take you to a seperate window where you can upload your pictures. Simply click the BROWSE option and find the file from your computer you want to add. Click the picture you want, then hit OK. Repeat this step for as many pictures as you want to add. Once you have the picture you want, click the UPLOAD option next to the last BROWSE button. Once they have been uploaded, close that window, write what you want in your reply...and click the SUBMIT REPLY option. BAM!! YOUR DONE!!

I appreciate the info. Not really new to cyber world just never got involved with forums. Don't mind the MFK watermark @ all.
