I am using pot scrubbies in my XP3's. They're only good for bio-filtration, though.

yea they will work.....

i my 405 how shall i lay my media out at the momement in the first pot it is filter floss 2nd carbon and 3rd 4th is biological noodles should i just change the carbon for pot scrubbies or a complete rearange

Not sure how the 405 is layed out, but in my FX5 I have all 3 baskets stuffed with scrubbies, and just left the foam around the outside. I have a polishing pad in the last basket for cleaner water...

i cant find any sites selling pot scrubbies cas im in england would straws work in the filters

Can you find Easter Grass? That is what the scrubbies are made of.

For a canister, you be better off spending extra and get a quality media such as biomax or ehfisubstrat, this will provide you with much more surface area for bacteria to grow. Pot srubbies work best in a wet/dry sitsuation where they expose the bacteria to both water and oxygen.
