As a replacement for bioballs I am going to use pot scrubbers for my sump.

WHere can i find bulk of these online?

Google "Do-It_Best". That's probably the best place unless you have a business Tax ID.

I never found a source as cheap as going to the dollar store. About 8 cents each + tax.

Thanks everyone

Unfortunately my dollar store does not have them currently.

WOrried about buying online because i know some of them have chemicals to reduce mold and mildew. don't want to contaminate the water

I hope you mean "instead of using" instead of "as a replacement"...

Na meant exactly what i wrote. Pretty sure pot scrubbers have more surface area for bacteria than bioballs

there hard to find these days locally in ohio aswell...nowhere like they used to be even a few years ago. Marc's grocery store has them occasionally but i know it can be annoying running everywhere trying to find them so I would just order. I'd be interested where to get them with a tax i.d. for cheaper :)
