What is it? My LFS has it on their list but I can't find any information for it. Fishbase says it gets 5 cm. Is that correct? I figured it would be bigger.
 
I don't see a lot of info on this one, the Australion trispinous reaches 12"
 
isn't that the frog fish or freshwater lion fish or toad fish they are brackish and get around 8-10'' try those names and you'll get much more info

It's a type of toad fish. This species isn't brackish, it's fresh.
As far as I can see it's a fairly new species which is why there's not much info.

I think I'm gonna order it anyway and see how it goes.
 
Well, it ended up being Thalassophryne amazonica. Apparently they get sold as the above species by some wholesalers, which I did not know.
Still cool. I brought him home anyway. :D
