How big do males hystrix get assuming male stay smaller then females and how hardy are they?

Sounds like maybe you should have checked on availability before deciding Scobina are for you..... If you want Scobina you'll have to take what you can get. I bet he might be able to get you a lil male, but I wouldn't count on much below 4 digits. I bet Scobina are some of the rarest FW rays in the US. IF you're after something that stays small Hystrix are 1/5 the price.

Shawn is very reliable. I've bought several rays from him and he's been nice enough to help me ship some of mine, which says a lot. Highly recomend him.

I've heard max for hystrix is 14" but its really based on two things from what ive heard.....Are you feeding it to keep it alive or feeding it to grow it up? Just something to gauge when you are looking at how long you may have it before it hits full size
