just seen this listed on the wharf aquatics website as a new species from columbia .

has anyone got a picture of one ? i imagine they are motoroish but you dont know till you ask now do you

Here are the two fish in question.These were ordered as Flower rays from Colombia (Schroederi) and they sent these, very nice rays and part of the Castexi group judging by the look of them, both fish had an 11" disc so good size.At the time they had them on the list as just Flowers now they are listing both Flowers and Schroederi..very confusing! If you order make sure you order Schroederi...NOT Flowers!!..LOL !! Having said that they are beautiful rays in their own right just not what I ordered.

thanks for the detailed response aquaman.

it was more of a curiosity than anything but they are good looking rays

i dont seem to come accross many of the castexi group at all so i hope whoever gets them keeps everyone updated with pics :)
 
Wow. I just purchased these two exact same looking fish as castexi. They were sold to me as a pair, but both came in as male. Any chance yours are female and would like to trade/sell? I also have a pair of true flowers eating earthworms from the same order.

Yes, tank is small. Currently, quarantining but will be moved to a 600 gallon soon.

These guys ate market shrimp right out of the box. Currently transitioning them to massivore seems like they will take fairly easily..
