my leo is in a 10g. ive had him for a little over a year now. he has never had a wet house before. im thinking about ading one. however he is in a 10g and was woundering if this will raise the humidity a lot. its currently 30%. if it does get raised will this be a problem?

it is a wire screen top. is exess humidity a problem with leopard geckos.

humidity is a proble for leopard geckos, they are native to pakistan and india, They live in the dry regions of these countries. I used to keep leopard geckos you might want to up the size of your tank, Males get well over 9 inches in length and a 10g is far to small. You shouldnt need to add humidity unless, you have problems when it sheds. Commonly the toes dont shed all the way. You can solve this with a coolwhip container with a small hole cut in the top with peat moss or vermiculite. also serves are a nest if you would ever get a pair and wish to breed them.

10 gal is plenty but leos tend to get respitory infections if kept to cool or have to high humidity

i know i will upgrade to a 20 long. i just wanted to know if the exess humidity will cause a problem. it looks like i wont be adding a ''wet house'' until i upgrade then. hes been in the 10 for over a year now, and has never had a problem shedding. i tryb to mist him when hes about to shed.

A humid hide ? I think that is what he means.
