Have you tested your water?
No
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

Having some issues with the 125 now. I removed my severum Corn when I noticed today he had a swollen upper lip. Panicked thinking it could be ducklip but he can move and close his mouth. Mouth is red. Looking closer I see he has red spots around the head area. A few days ago I treated the tank with salt when I noticed Corn had some lympho that sprung around his eyes (very small and thin) that subsided. After a deep clean and water change this suddenly erupts. He was hiding but still has most of his strength. I moved him to a bucket. Does this sound like septicima and if so what is the best treatment? No other fish appear affected.

I'm in the process of thinning the herd as there's just too much going on and too many fish in there due to breeding. I have enough API Cure if that will work. Kana-Cura is on the way as well for acara Rocky (in another thread).

Pics of Corn. You see he still has some lympho on the head and the spotting is in the same areas.

Corn's issue has progressed overnight. His head has a red mask like a Midas. Sadly I believe he's hemorrhaging on the inside and I'm at a wall with this. Will continue treatment but realistically I don't believe he'll survive. He's upright and breathing and not laying on the floor. My best guess it started off viral and went bacterial and escalated. The lymph may have been the doorway to secondary infection but I have no real answers right now. No other fish in the 125 are having any problems. Hoping for a miracle but not expecting one.

Updated pics just now. Corn's facial area/lips are less red than earlier this morning. No heater is being used, lights off.

Some improvement in the eye area here compared to yesterday. You can see the diffusion of color in his head.

Mouth has reduced swelling and redness. Dark area forming at snout. This could possibly be bruising as Corn rammed himself on the glass trying to avoid the net. He hit it hard. Lesions are faded a bit. May have hope, we'll see how he progresses this week.
