$100,000 tuna! They should start tuna farms if they can go for this much. Accomodating an open ocean going fish environment like tuna would be a big technical hurdle, but it seems it would be a worthy investment. Salmon are farm raised today and they travel around the world in the wild.

tuna are a top level predator. the amount of space, time, and money requied to gt it to a decent size wouldnt be worth it

Why couldnt I keep one in my 55 gallon growout tank. I could raise it like a veal calf, in the dark with no room to move. This way he will be nice and tender. I would sell it when it exactly fit the volume of the tank. I figure it might way around 70 lbs and I could sell it for only like $20,000.

Do you think I should make a DIY sump for it?

they already have tuna farms.

If you have a 10,000 gal or more tank you could try
I like the veal tuna idea LOL

If they could be farmed easily and successfully it would drive the prices way down. This happened to the wild pacific salmon prices when farmed atlantic salmon (fricken fish, not even the same species and the flesh is died pink) hit the market hard around 2003 or so. Prices tanked, especially the price that fishermen were paid for their catch. Prices are now starting to rebound after more awareness about just how "healthy" farmed salmon actually is for you... not very.

they capture wild tuna in massive pens then drive the pens back to "base" its a show on discovery called "tuna wranglers"
