can anybody out there show me some pics of how they added pothos house plants to the top of their tank?? i would like to try this in a 70 gallon with some bamboo and a jag. i guess the goal is to have the plants grow above and around the top of a tank and suspend them somehow so that the roots are submerged?? lol i think... little help please

I believe JK47 originated this technique on MFK (to my knowledge at least...). Basically, you just get the roots of the plant in contact with tank water. Get as creative as you want after that. 
I used egg crate from home depot and some black zip ties and made a basket that hangs off the side in to the tank then just put some water Lily's and pathos in it, it has only been up like this for about a week and the roots are starting to grow really well up their,I built a shelve and added some lights to it for the plants they love and it works like a champ
Pothos and Bamboo plants in a Aquatech filter with mixture of ceramic rings and flourite chips. Works great, no significant nitrates at all just one water change a week (50%) and thats it.
i have a walmart plastic suction cup shower caddy. its clear ... but a little tacky to some maybe but less than other methods probably.
i also have some in the back of my hobs . behind the filter fiber.

I have pothos and peace lilly, inspired by JK47's setup. It's just a walmart planter box with a hole cut in the side for my canister filter
