Greetings. Just a bit curious, and want to purify my water a little bit more effectively, does the plant pothos or Ivy, grow alright in aquariums? Either under the water, or roots just suspended in it? I thought maybe just with roots in the water it would be fine, but when I googled it, majority is kept under the water and grows fine? Would it be a good idea to put some in my sump?

I've been using it for months with only roots in the water and It's growing new leaves and doing fine. Haven't tried it fully submerged but i know that the leaves get CO2 from the air and cannot get it from water so it'll do fine for a few months but then it's start to die. I head as well that some ppl have success keeping it underwater but i'm sceptical. U can try and let us know :)

Definitely above water with submerged roots. I've got some of this in my turtle tank. I've got a few good bits of driftwood that poke up out of the water in several places - attached Pothos to that with the roots dangling in the water and they're growing really well.
