I have an XL amazon sword that has been planted for a while now. I recently removed it from the pot, don't ask I don't know anything about plants. My fish ate some of the roots and it suffered some damage. It's coming back as Ive returned it to it's home but with nothing in the pot. Should I add substrate to the pot and if so what type? Any help would be appreciated.
