Powder or Electric

I've been noticing that there are "Powder Blue" Dempseys which look the same as an "Electric Blue" Dempsey. The difference in price is about $30. Is there a difference or are they getting cheaper now a days?

they are the same species Nandopsis octofasciatus just different colorations powder blue and blue!

Definately the same species, just diff wording, I don't think that either variant is worth a $30 price swing.
One of my Blues only has a blue face and completely Gold body.....labeled electric blue in the store

Like said above,same fish just different name.I cant wait to get a bigger one Maybe I should look into jeff rapps to see if he has any large blues?Any other suggestions would be great!

I agree it's the same fish. Sometimes/often younger Blue Dempseys will be more of a light/powder blue when its subdominant, but just put a female/potential mate in with him and if he's sexually mature, even the lightest male will go "Electric"

I agree with ORMED they are all electric blue in proper conditions.

those are cool and all, but i think i like the coloration of the normal ones better
