Powder White bulbs

Whats wrong with powder white bulbs that are commonly used around the house hold for fish tank use? beside the Low watts put out. I found two working white bulbs in my house... Plugged them in and put it on top of my tank.. they are T8.. any pro/con on thos white bulbs

What did they say on them, daylight, general purpose etc?

If your just lighting the tank their ok, but the fish gain from the use of better bulbs.

If you have plants their health slowly spirals downward.
