I have noticed just about every brand of flake food has flakes that have turned into powder at the bottom of the container. Some brands are worse than others. I use some of it to feed fry, but it is really starting to add up. Has anyone found a way to use it? I would hate to throw it away and it really makes a mess trying to use it with grown fish.

that why flake foods are a lot cheaper than pellets! feeding flake food for small fish is good but big fish don't usually eat all of them so the water could get really messy!
You can use it in your homemade food mix or for medicated food but yeah it can make a mess. Pellets are better in that respect (and most other aspects)
Im,guessing it would break apart on contact with the water but ill give it a try.
