Hi, i want to know a good power filter for a 75 gallons tank that filters good and also has a low wattage consumption.
Also, what is the difference between Oceanic and all-glass tank? Does Oceanic tank have clearer glass view?

for a good power filter, get an Aquaclear 110.

as far as Oceanic vs Allgass, I have compared the two and this is what i notice:

1. silicone work is the same (ie very well done)
2. oceanic glass edges are bevelled
3. oceanic tanks have a glass cross brace, Aqueon tanks (aka Allglass) have the plastic once peice extruded frames.

to me, construction wise they are the same (with modern oceanic tanks)

the older oceanics were a little better I think.

I believe the Oceanic Ultimate line does have Starphire front glass.

I have a 150g Aqueon tank and I am very pleased with the construction quality. top notch.

Hi, i have few misunderstandings, bevelled edges, two angles are cut on the front view? None of them are 90 degrees angle?
and "Oceanic Ultimate line does have Starphire front glass" that means they do have a high quality front glass that is different comparing to All-Glass Aquarium?

How much is a 75g Oceanic tank, without hood/stand?

the bevelled glass edges just means that the edges of each peice of glass have been cut so that there is no 90 degree edge. it just looks nicer and does not affect the viewing at all.

starphire glass is a low iron type of glass that has less of a green tint to it. many say that it offers better viewing, but I have seen it side by side to a regular glass tank (both reef tanks) and cannot tell the difference viewing the tank head on. it is more expensive than regular glass.

your best bet is to contact your local fish store and ask them to get you a price.

I know in my area (Ontario Canada) an Aqueon 150 gallon was $440 brand new.

the Oceanic version was $799. almost double the price.

I priced them both out when I was shopping for my 150. I went with the Aqueon Version.

thank you very much, very helpful informations.
i thought for 75g was only $30-50 difference, i'll go with aqueon.
