power filters

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
no it wont be enough for 2 O's and loaches. i have one of these filters and the media holder just isnt that big, i used it on a 3ft tank and it didnt do the job on that and i didnt have O's.
you get a sponge that has roughly the following dimensions 2.5x3x4 inches. and you get a small media tub about 3x1.5x2 inchesr (external inches so smaller area for media inside) that is for carbon. it wont hold enough bio media to make it wothwhile.
good mechanical filtration and head flow for current but pretty useless otherwise.
stop being so cheap and get your fish some proper filtration in the form of a canister. a cheap jebo 1200l/h external is better than this. :p

lmao. sozzled kermit better be right he told me to trust him then asked me what i was looking at?

yeah i have it as a reserve filter but it probably wont get used as i am running 2 x 1200l/h canisters.
they are pretty useless though, i used to use it after a water change if i kicked crap up cos of the flow and good mech filtration it has to polish the water but not anymore. its no good for long term use.
