Power is gonna be off for 2 hrs on monday

and im stressin out!!! Im not worried about my HOB filters as ill float the bio material and have my battery powered air stone running. Im nervous about my canister filter, its probably gonna kill the bacteria in there!!!! I dont have a generator and my battery back up for my filters and heater took a dump Am i just over worrying or will everything be OK???

2 hours should not kill your biofilter.

I have had many power outages last a few hours and have yet to have an ammo. spike.

even if you do lose some, the bacterial population will multiplly very qickly when things get going again.

no need to stress over a few hours.

I'm quite sure that as long as the filter still has enough tank water in it to stay submersed, the bacteria will survive two hours.

I don’t think you’ll have to worry any at all, we had power out for three days hear the last big snow storm we had.

Two hours is not long time, dont worry about it. I had once power off for 6 hours. I forgot to turn alarm clock off when i left home. So when it started to wake me up at 7 a clock at weekend , it waked up my neighbor,she got mad, so she turned my power off. When i got home i turned it on again and everything was ok.
