I have a Pima that is approx. 26-28" ... and whenever its feeding time it shows its powerful strength. I have it in an Acrylic tank that is 3/4" thick on all four sides, and i was wondering if it would ever be strong enough to be able to break the bonding seal and spring a leak in the acrylic tank????

no

Since the acrylic cement that is used in the manufacturing process actually melts the two sheets of acrylic together the seams are much stronger than those of a glass tank. And unless there was a fault in the manufacturing the seems should never come apart.

That being said, a pima that size could easily damage itself in a tank that is too small.

as it grows i doubt that i would hold up to the pimas strength.

They will break tanks.
I watched a 4 foot arapaima break an 1 1/2" acrylic tank. The owner used to be a member here - he lived in Orlando. It happend when we were trying to remove the fish from it's tank. Smashed right through his overflow tower, and cracked the top support brace of the tank.
