CL&P warns it could be out for a week. I don't have a generator but I do have battery powered air pumps. Fortunately the tanks are very healthy. I will do WCs every other day and more often if I see ammonia. Cutting way back on feeding - maybe every other day. Temperature should be fine. Any other ideas out there?

Where r u? Im in MD and it is expected to hit around 9...

I'm in Westport CT - an hour north of NYC and 1 mile from Long Island Sound. This was high tide this morning about a block from my house.

amazing. I hope everything works out good for you guys.

iv been seeing this alot on the news looks crazy. good luck to all you people over that way.

im in nyc and my lights keep flickering at my house but so far so good (fingers crossed) good thing is con edison (local electric co.) is pretty fast with repairs. i dont have a generator but i do have a 600watt car inverter my plan if power goes out is run a long indoor outdoor orange power cord from my driveway to the tank and plug up the air pump and maybe one fx5. did a trial run saturday and it worked fine and i have a fully charge battery booster for the car so if the car battery dies i can jump start it. glad my power outlets in my truck work without the vehicle being on

A block away?...that's a little too close for comfort.Im in Philadelphia and it is getting windier.I can actually feel my three story brick house shake or sway ever so lightly at times.
