Power outage

..so we have been having horrible storms the last few nights..if the power goes out, how long will my tanks be ok?

i have a 22 gallon cold water with 2 HOB filters
a 10 gallon with 1 hob
and a 5 gallon with sponge filters...

not to get into too much detail. assuming you have very few small fish in the tank and the room temperature stays relatively comfortable high 60's low 70s, you should be okay for a day. get your buckets ready and fill it up with clean water and let it sit, just in case you need to do water changes. my tanks are rather sparsely populated ..other than my 10 gallon guppy breeder...but ill keep water handy thank you!

if you got a 24hr walmart, I would go and get the battery operated air pumps from the fishing section just in case the power fails. Then maybe use the sponge filter on the guppy breeder if you have to. Hopefully your power stays on tho.

yeah..no money so lets just hope,.things have calmed down a bit.

a battery back only cost about 12.00 at petco it kicks on when the power goes out and will run for over a week on 3 d cells. they got me threw Kartina in new orleans I have 3 on my 175 reef tank and 3 on my 250 fresh water tank
