My house lost power yesterday and that sometimes happens during thunderstorms here, but normally its for a couple hours so I don't really worry. Now its been 18 hours and I still don't know when its going to be on. What should I do to keep them alive for as long as possible.

Insulate your tank by wrapping blankets around it and try putting hot water in empty water bottles and floating them in the tank to keep the temperature from dropping too low. To put some oxygen in the water, use a cup and dip it in your tank, then re-pour the water into your tank. Do this for at least 10 minutes every 1/2 hour to an hour. Also, do not feed your fish, that will just create more waste. I hope this helps!

Well, when I lost power for 4 days due to tornadoes, my tank dropped down to 62F and everything to my surprised - lived. I did wrap my tank and do water changes during this time and everything was fine.

Will the temp. Drop for sure? Its about 80 degrees outside and in the house and one of my tanks is on 76 and the other is on 80

I believe it makes a difference where you have the fish tank located honestly.I have my two tanks in a isolated room, where the temps just drop very slowly,I had that issue in the winter time, when my furnace was out,it took almost a week for it to drop down to 60 degrees, but everyone lived still.

Now that you experienced the power outage scare, its time to prepare for the future. Might invest in some cheap battery operated air pumps or an inexpensive generator.

Yea I had a generator but there was a flood and at one point it was completly underwater, long story short its broken.
