just wondering if the powerhead 802 (AC 70 now i think) is fully submersable, i ask because the power cord is only about 2.5ft and i was going to put it on the bottom of my 135g. i was going to use it to power 2 sponge filters reverse, w/ a prefilter on the intake.
also wondering if the noise can stress fish, my sen bichir is kinda skittish

thanks

Hi ya, I have 2 802's on my 210 gallon, as well as a 2080, and a 405. They are fully submersable, although I agree the lead is short, but generally they are placed at the top of the tank, a couple of cm's below the water level. Mine are used to circulate the water in the tank, so are placed at either end of the tank. The noise is minimal inside the tank, as long as they are not touching anything, my 2 Fire Eels regularly hang around them as a resting post.

Good luck with them.

Mike.

thanks for the exp mike
