Hi

I'm thinking of getting a powerhead for my 4ft, 220l freshwater tank to get a bit of movement.
It's stocked with clown loaches, silver dollars, red tail shark, flying fox, striped cat, bristlenose cat and a large plec.

I don't want any massive waves, just a bit of movement, because I've read the clowns will enjoy it and it will push some of the plecs waste around.

What sort of size (litres or gallons per hour) should I be looking for?

Or do you think its a bad idea and i should forget the whole thing?

Not a bad idea at all. I would get a koralia 3 or 4. 850GPH and 1200GPH, respectively. (3200/4500LPH)

They're supposed to produce a less concentrated flow so it isn't as much as it seems. Plus they're a lot more efficient and much cheaper for the amount of water they push.

OK, Koralia is what I was thinking aswell. Seen some good views on them.
Do you think i would be best off with one #3 or two #1's for example?
Would there be any disadvantages to two?
Looking at the price of the Koralia's looks like I might have to wait a few weeks anyway
