Powerhead magnets

I got some powerheads as part of a deal in a tank and sump setup. They came attached to very strong magnets. I can't seem to detach the powerhead from the magnet and tried every way. I looked online too and couldn't find a way to detach them.

Does someone know how to remove powerhead magnets? They feel like they're welded onto the powerheads.

Try sliding them. Some heavy thumb pressure should offset the pair, then you should be able to just pull from there.

Also try soaking them in vinegar for a few minutes before resorting to brute strength that could damage them.
