powerhead or HOB?

I've got a 75g that's filtered with a Fluval 304 and an XP3 (spray bar aimed towards the surface). Currently stocked with a jag, grammodes, and a convict (for the time being...)

I don't feel that the XP3 is creating enough surface agitation to sufficiently aerate the tank.

What would you get to create more, a powerhead or a HOB (AC110)? Any thoughts? Feedback?

You can use the jet head that comes with the xp3 and adjust the aim for better surface agitation. I run two xp3s and an ac110 for my 120. I use the spray bar at one end and the jet head at the other with the ac110.

A decent powerhead will cause much more surface movement than the ac 110.
