I currently have a Koralia 750gph and a Koralia 1400gph on one end of my tank side by side pushing water angled slightly down and toward the front glass slightly. Is there a better configuration for them to maximize a consistent directional current?

Would splitting them up putting them on opposite ends, one pushing water down the front glass and the other down the back glass be better?

I am just trying to have a strong uniform current in the tank for my barracuda and goliaths to workout in all day lol

any suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks

You want to create a proper circulation, otherwise you just end up with several swirls and turbulences at different places of the water column.

My preferred way to do it, is to setup the powerheads on one short side at the top of the aquarium with the outtake pointing straight towards the top of the other short side.

This way the current in the upper water column is strong and not interfering with the returning current at the bottom, creating a consistent and therefore stronger flow.

Another positive effect is that any debris at the bottom gets moved to one side of the aquarium, where ideally it can be picked up by the filter.

Hope this helps, took me quite some time to figure it out myself ^^
