Can someone please explain to me what a power head is used for, I have a 135 gallon with a Rena XP3 and an thinking about adding something to give the tank more water movement. Is this what I sould be looking to add?
If so, please give me a good idea how to install it/where to put it/what to buy...
Thanks in advance!
Brad

Powerheads are used mostly for water movement, either thru under-gravel filters or alone. Some even have pre-filters on them. Some p-heads have adjustable valves for aerating the water & some are adjustable, etc.

If you have enough oxygenation & filtration, but still want more circulation, the Hydor Koralia is very popular. If you want a traditional p-head with all kinds of adjustability & aeration, check out the AquaClear powerheads. Look around, there's many to choose from.
