Anyone have suggestions on what brand/flowrate of powerhead(s) I could use to move debris toward my filter intakes? It's a 125 African tank with a lot of rock and caves, etc. I have two Filstar XP3 filters (one at each end) and am considering adding a third in the middle. As the fish get larger, I feel I may need something to move more water and push more waste. I've been looking at the SEIO 820. Any experience with this one?

seio is good but pricey. im using Resun powerheads/internal filters. They are pretty cheap but silent and push a lot of water. only downside is, the bigger models also have the nasty habit to create some heat...

Thanks!

My favorite are the Eheim aquaballs. Good flow, silent, inexpensive, and they look cool:)

:iagree:

Do they keep debris stirred up in the water all the time or do your filters take care of it? I just hate seeing small pieces floating in the middle of the tank all the time. My returns from my filters seem to blow small pieces back out when I turn them back on after a water change too, and I was hoping a powerhead or too would help this as well.

Thanks for the info, still reading and shopping and I appreciate the opinions.

That all depends on what filtration, fish, powerhead placement, and substrate you have.
