What powerhead is the best for a tank housing an asian aro? What brand and how many gallons per hour? Thanks for your suggestions.

i havent used a lot of different ones, but i like the hydor koralias

If you have a canister filter which doesn't allow for air and water interaction it is sometimes a good idea to ad air. But if you have a sump or HOB these allow for exellent air water interaction thus oxygenating the water.
I use the Koralias two on each tank, one pointed down around the bottom and one close to the surface pointed up thus agitating the surface. It isn't about adding the air through bubbles. You get oxygen through surface agitation and water movement.

i aim the exit of my canister filter tube towards the surface for agitation
( but planning on getting some better airstone because the ones i have scare the skittish silvers )
