powerhead?

i am wondering if i could get a powerhead for my 55g?
could you tell me if it would be good with

3 pictus catfish
1 black ghost knife
2 gouramis
4 irredesnt sharks
1 featherfin synidos

would you be adding the power head for added current or to increase your undergravel filter? either way the power head would be fine.

Did you know that irredest sharks will grow to be 2-3 feet long? Your gonna need a 550 gallon tank for that crew.
