Powerheads

I was just wondering should I use a power head in my 100 gal. I have 1 pleco and 18 cichlids Thanks Pat . Oh and what kind if I should.

of course.. you need a filtration system.. and it gives aeration to your tank too..

do you have a lot of dead spots where uneaten food and detritus settles? what's your filtration like?

I was wondering about this on my 125 as well...

I've got 3, XP3's filtering it. I've got a spray bar on the right side-top of the tank and a "jet" on the left side-top of the tank to break up the surface tension. I've also got a spray bar on the left side about 1/2 down the tank pointed toward the substrate.

Most of the detrius settles on the right side of the tank.

I have 2 Eheims 2225s and a aqua clear 110 I was just wondering about the crap in the rocks. I do a 30% water change once a week.
