So I had 2 problems going on. 1 large male Syn was just sick--head shaking, wouldn't eat, fins clamped, flashing alot. So I treated the tank with PraziPro last week, one time, and it helped him alot. Lots of my fish flash, about half of them either have or have had this white dot on the fin tips. I've noticed it looks like a tiny white cotton ball, not a wart. So, my LFS said it's probably a fungus, try PimaFix. I added it yesterday, and today, plan to do the whole 7 day treatment.
How long should it take for the white dots to go away on fins? What do I try when PimaFix doesn't work? I tried it because it was recommended, it doesn't bother the bacteria in my biomedia. But, reading on here, it has very mixed reviews. So, I figure I need to start thinking now about what I'm gonna do if it doesn't help in the next day or two?
540 gallon tank, ammonia/nitrite at 0, nitrate at pretty close to 0 with a 40 gallon per day drip.
