Treating my newly acquired male p14 with prazi as preventive measure against flukes and worms,
Also noticed his appetite is not as good as my old rays.
noticed he has some injury on his disc.
Can i add in a little salt dissolved in my sump to help with his injury?
would it be ok to combine prazi and a little salt?

By the way how
Long dies it have to stay in the water? Can i do a partial
Water change after a day or 2 to remove poop?
Also noticed the new ray is little lthargic and not as active as my
2
Old ones in same
Tank.

A little concerned.

Ammonia level

From what I have read on other threads, you should keep the Prazi in the water with no water change for 7 days.
You also supposed to do the Prazi three times about a week apart.
This was also the instructions I got from my Vet when he sold me the Prazi.

In my humble opinion, if you have to pick up the poop with a water change after a day, check the water circulation in your tank.
Good circulation should be pushing the poop into your filters.
Not sure if you have wave makers in the tank, I find it helps a lot.

thanks:) i had a wavemaker in the tank, but it seems to have stressed out my new ray?
last night i pointed it towards the surface, but i prefer being able to get rid of the poop in the main tank than having it go to my sump as i seldom clean my sump.

i will keep the prazi in the tank thanks :D

I have a few layers of batting in the first compartment in my sump
Every two or three days or as needed, I just peel off the top layer where the poop or food accumulates
Like this I don't have to water change every two days but the poop also doesn't go to the rest of the sump
When I get to the last two layers, I replace the batting with another few layers.
This is working well for me

I assume its a little ray that you think is getting stressed by the wave maker
I also got a new BD baby about two weeks ago and she is really small
I wouldn't say she gets stressed by the wave maker but I can see she is still trying to cope with it so what I do is for a while in the morning I point it down and then turn it up before I go to work
Then in the afternoon and a little while after feeding, I let it run pointing down again for an hour or so. I can see she is definitely getting used to it now
