I have an mbu who I have had about 1 year now. She has not put on a inch and she should be over a foot by now. I have tried 3 different med treatments to deworm her. First was API tabs soaking food in them. Second was tetra tabs, soaked food in a water dilution of those as well. I just did a two week tank treatment using prazipro with the recommended dosages. On the second week a long worm was expelled. I suspect there to be more because her stomach still has lumps. I went two weeks in clean water with large water changes, and this week started another dosing of the tank. I have been advised that this method doesn't work great for freshwater puffers since the meds are not "drank" or ingested. I should be soaking her food. My question is, how much prazi should be mixed with how much water to safely soak her food to get her healthy? Thanks all.

Why are you trying to medicate the puffer to grow? Wouldn't a very diet do so?

She is not growing because she has worms... Hence why she needs to be medicated. I'm 100% sure that she has internal parasites and this is why she has not grown. Thanks.

3 days of prazi in the water is sufficient for internal worms, it is effective in the water. Why are you convinced it has worms? Does the puffer eat? Also prazi does not treat all internal parasites.

She eats and can go from a nice round stomach to a skinny lumpy stomach in 24 hours. She's wild caught and only spent 12 days in a smaller tank before being shipped to me and put in her large tank so she shouldn't be stunted and should have grown about 12" by now. I have also physically seen her expelling a worm. That's why I believe she has internal parasites.

You can try to soak the food in prazipro not diluted, epsom salts can help pass the worms too. Another wormer could be tried too like levimisol

I've added prazi straight to pellets before with no mortalities but that won't deworm a fish try metro or soak the pellets in epsom salt nd water

Why would it not deworm a fish? Isn't that what prazipro is for? Levimisol I can try to get as well. Doubt she will eat pellets but I can soak her clams.
